FAMILY DOG MANNERS CLASS - LEVEL 1

This class focuses on building solid foundation behaviors that help dogs become confident, well-mannered companions. You and your dog will practice everyday skills such as sit, down, polite greeting, loose-leash walking,  and leave-it, all taught in a positive and supportive environment. We will also introduce important safety exercises:

  • Teaching your dog an emergency recall helps ensure they will return to you if they ever get off leash—for example, if they bolt through an open door.
  • Gentle body handling helps prepare your dog for calm, stress-free veterinary visits.
  • A U-turn is a useful skill that allows you to quickly guide your dog out of stressful situations.
  • Supervised separation helps prepare your dog to stay comfortable and confident when, incase of emergencies, a stranger holds the leash.

This class is open to everyone—there are no prerequisites—making it a great starting point for dogs of all ages and experience levels.

FAMILY DOG MANNERS CLASS - LEVEL 2

This class helps deepen and strengthen the skills your dog already knows while adding new challenges to build real-life reliability.

In this class, we focus on polishing core behaviors such as sit, down, loose-leash walking, and important safety skills like emergency recall, supervised separation, and a dependable “leave it.”

We also introduce helpful new behaviors:

  • Dogs need to learn a solid stay because it helps keep them safe and calm in everyday situations.
  • Relaxed settle on a cot—to support calmness and self-control in busy environments.

This class is designed to be welcoming and accessible for a wide range of dogs and handlers, and at this time, there are no prerequisites required.
